Cougar of the Week 8/31

Congratulations to Raquel Welch for being crowned Cougar Hunt's Cougar of the Week. Raquel's fourth husband, Richard Palmer, is fifteen years younger than she, however they have recently separated. Ms. Welch has sworn off younger men stating she is looking for a more stable relationship. We at Cougar Hunt like to think she can't throw in the towel on dating younger men yet. Ms. Welch one bad experience can't make you give up, lets hope she'll be on the hunt soon.

Social Networking for Cougars

Everyone knows how popular Cougars are becoming. There's TV shows, movies, blogs, etc. and now we have a social networking site. The site Cougar Candy Store focuses on providing Cougars with discussion boards, Cougar ratings, and Cougar Bait. Dr. Romance provides information about relationships and the health and beauty section helps these women stay sexy for their younger men.

I recommend both Cougars and Cougar Bait joining the website and adding their two cents. From what I can tell there are some good looking Cougars, don't worry ladies there's something for you as well.

Miss Cougar Del Mar

On August 5th Del Mar Racetrack crowned its first ever Miss Cougar Del Mar. Del Mar Racetrack(DMR) claims they attract many Cougars and the women bring an excellent atmosphere to the track. So in their honor they picked their favorite. The contestants emailed pictures to the DMR in hopes to win a table for four along with present the Cougar II Handicap. The crown was present to Rosie Goldstein following the race and I look forward to more seeing more competitions like this and hope to make it to next years event.

Jennifer Aniston to Play Cougar

We've mentioned before how many tv and movie producers are jumping on the Cougar band wagon and Courtney Cox-Arquette is the latest to announce a show about Cougars. Well move Courtney they knew Cougar in town is Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston's latest development "Pumas" is targeted at the women who seek younger men and the social strains they develop from others. The film is in it's earliest stages of development so there isn't much information on who will play her Cougar Bait, but we'll keep you posted.

The term Cougar is fairly new to the scene however, many people are continuing to use the term. TV shows have been created, movies and now bands are even naming their albums after the older women word. Not too many people are to sure to where this word originated. There is one rumor it comes from a local pub in Canada, where older women frequent. Some guys noticed an older women perusing a younger man. Her persistence to "hunt" the young man reminded bar-goers of a Cougar.

The word Cougar originally was taken as derogatory but, as time has gone on the term has adopted a few additional words; independent, experienced and driven. The word Cougar is viewed differently between almost all persons, some don't agree with the situation these men and women are putting themselves in, to others it simply older women having fun and being youthful once again.

It doesn't matter if you agree with the term or dislike it, it's here to stay. Not to mention you'll continue to see it more and more, so get ready.
